Companion to "Your First Season Plan."
| Checkpoint | Test | Date set |
|---|---|---|
| First booking by week six of being findable | If not: prices read as hidden or complicated, photos are manufacturer renders, or the phone does not get answered in the evening. Fix all three before spending a dollar on advertising | |
| First payback tracked per unit | From booking one, keep the row per unit: gross earned to date against cost; reinvestment signal | |
| Mid-season Saturday review (late July) | One hour: utilization per unit, quote-to-booking rate, which delivery zones pay, what your back says | |
| Your-season checkpoint (first cool week) | Off-season decision: winterize and pre-book, lean into indoor demand, or fund a planned winter | |
| End-of-season dry-down | Every unit fully dry, cleaned, repaired, photographed, stored off the walls. No exceptions |
When the plan breaks: fall back on the written policy, make the customer whole where the fault is yours, fix the system that allowed it, keep the calendar. Nothing in a first season is unrecoverable except a safety failure or a reputation collapse.
