1. The sourcing ad (plain format) + two rewording variants

**Cash paid for used phones.** Any condition considered, cracked screens okay. I pay fair prices and can meet today. Text me the model and I'll quote you: [number]

Short, professional, no exclamation points, a clear call to action. Marketplaces flag and remove "want to buy" posts, so expect to repost and reword, and never copy another flipper's ad word for word. Post mornings and evenings. Variant A (swap the opener): "Looking to buy used phones, cash same day. Cracked screens okay, any carrier. Text the model and storage for a quote: [number]". Variant B (swap the close): "I buy used phones for cash. Fair prices, meet today at a public spot. What have you got? Text me: [number]".

2. The five-question screening text

Thanks for reaching out. A few quick questions so I can quote you fairly: 1. What's the model and storage? (Settings, General, About) 2. What carrier, and is it paid off or still on a plan? 3. Any cracks or damage? How's the battery health? 4. Is it signed out of your iCloud/Google account, or can you sign out when we meet? 5. What were you hoping to get for it?

Question five tells you how far apart you are before you waste a drive. Sellers who dodge the paid-off question or the sign-out question are telling you something. Believe them.

3. The meetup inspection script (in order)

• ☐Look: screen under bright light for hairline cracks; frame corners for drops; camera lenses for cracks
• ☐Test: power button, volume, both cameras, speaker, microphone (voice memo), charge port with the cable you brought
• ☐Ask the seller to type on the keyboard for a few seconds; dead spots hide there
• ☐Check battery health in settings on iPhones; a degraded battery is a price deduction, not a walk
• ☐Watch the seller sign out and erase in front of you (iPhone: Settings, their name, Sign Out; then Settings, General, Transfer or Reset, Erase All Content and Settings); accept only the welcome screen
• ☐If findings differ from what was described, re-appraise on the spot from the cracked or damaged comps

Safety: daylight, public camera-monitored exchange zone, one other person knows where you are, only the cash you plan to spend, never change the location at the last minute, never follow a seller to a second location.

4. Bill-of-sale field template (no ID, no deal)

Photo of the seller's license next to the phone before you hand over cash. This page is the difference between "I bought this in good faith" and "possession of stolen property," and your evidence trail if a financed phone goes blacklisted later.
