Your First 90 Days & Going Deeper
Lesson video in production
The full lesson text below is complete — the video version lands with launch.
Everything before this lesson was design. This is the build order: ninety days from empty channel to a working publishing system with a small real audience and an income seed. The plan assumes one video a week and a life alongside. If you have more time, compress the filming calendar, not the publishing cadence; the engines learn from rhythm.
Days one to fourteen: foundations
Week one is decisions, not gear. Write the niche sentence from the niche lesson. Run the channel scan and save five channels and five outliers. Write the first ten video packages, title and thumbnail text only, per the packaging lesson, as an evergreen ladder in demand order. Choose your lane and cadence and sign the commitment device from Hard Truths: How Channels Die, thirty videos before any verdict.
Week two is setup: channel identity, the under-two-hundred-dollar studio, two-step verification, the separate bank account, the backup folder. Film a practice video you never publish, just to run the pipeline once end to end and watch it back with headphones. It will be bad. Every first video ever made was bad; yours gets to be private.
Days fifteen to forty-five: publish and learn
Publish weekly. Videos one through four come straight from the top of your ladder, packaged before filming, hooked in the first thirty seconds, handed off to the next rung at the end. Seed each video honestly in two communities you already belong to. Reply to every comment within a day. Add affiliate links where the video genuinely involves the product.
At day thirty, hold the first checkpoint, and judge only these: Did four videos ship on schedule? Is the pipeline surviving contact with your real week? Which retention curve taught the clearest lesson? If videos shipped, the month is a success regardless of view counts, because the count that matters is videos published.
Days forty-six to ninety: sharpen and seed money
Videos five through ten: kill what the graphs condemn and double what they reward. Retire the weakest format, make a sibling of the strongest. Test one recommendation-facing package beside the search packages. Start the Shorts scout, one clip per video pointing at the full version. Create the free download and start the email list with a plain promise. If any video has drawn steady views for a month, write and send the first sponsor pitch from the money lesson, quoted almost verbatim, to one company whose product is already in your videos.
At day ninety, the second checkpoint: a ladder of roughly ten evergreen videos, at least one ranking in search, a format hypothesis worth ten more videos, a list started, and one income stream live alongside the future gate. That is a business under construction, not a hope.
The 90-day scorecard
Going deeper
When the channel is running and you want the next layers, the catalog has them. The creator income stack course is the parent architecture: stacking platforms and income streams around the audience you are building here. The paid newsletter course deepens the email list this course started. The online course business course turns your expertise library into a product your list can buy. Expertise channels also graduate into services, viewers becoming retained clients, and the online fitness coaching course is the worked example. If your channel leaned on editing craft and you want that craft to pay in weeks rather than months, the video editing course is the client-service lane. And when the channel starts paying real money and the exit from employment gets close, the health insurance course covers the benefit you are giving up. The AI exposure course explains how this catalog rates a business like yours.
Start the fourteen-day clock this week. The niche sentence is the only task that cannot wait, and you could write it tonight.
That is the whole course. You have the engines, the craft, the money, the rules, and the failure defenses. What remains is the part no course can supply: the next hundred Wednesdays.
